Stayed for business, the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the breakfast is actually worth attending. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be that the TV menu is slow, but if that's my biggest problem, this place is doing great!

Fairfield Inn Carlsbad offers a mixed experience, balancing well-maintained cleanliness with the tell-tale signs of an older establishment. This commitment to cleanliness significantly enhances the comfort level and overall appeal of the stay. However, despite its pristine condition, the hotel's age is apparent. This manifests in subtle ways, such as the design of the fixtures, the perhaps less-than-modern carpeting, or the slightly worn appearance of some of the furniture. While everything is functional and impeccably clean, there's a certain charm (or lack thereof, depending on your preference) that comes with an older property. It doesn't detract from the functionality or comfort, but those accustomed to brand-new facilities might notice the difference. The staff are generally friendly and efficient, contributing positively to the guest experience. Given its location in Carlsbad, the Fairfield Inn serves as a perfectly adequate base for exploring the local attractions. It's a reliable choice for travelers prioritizing a clean and comfortable room over cutting-edge modernity, offering good value for its price point.

Nice and clean hotel. It serves the basic hot breakfast in the mornings. It's located towards the south part of town, which is good for going to Carlsbad Caverns, but to get to some of the better restaurants, you'll need to travel 2+ miles.

Nice size room and clean. Good free breakfast. The pool in the back is small and exposed to the sun, and we didn't get a chance to use it. Employees were friendly, and checking and checking out was quick and easy. Overall, it was a nice hotel.

Good location to go see the caves. We stayed at this hotel for three nights. When we arrived the room was extremely noisy with the traffic right in front of the hotel. We asked for a new room on the other side which the staff was able to help us with. We had a very nice and quiet stay. Our room was not service for our 3 day stay which was ok with us as it is more sustainable. Room is clean. Bed is comfortable. Breakfast is ok.

I typically enjoy staying at Fairfield hotels wherever I go but this has to be the most challenging so far. It is right on the corner of a 3 way intersection where of you want to go north you would have to cross on coming traffic and also the other on coming traffic that also want to use that same lane to turn into the Walmart next door. It's almost easier to go south and then flip around. This also means that room facing the traffic will have more noise and light than the ones facing away. So keep that in mind when booking as those tend to go fast. Having said that, the staff was great, the breakfast did it's job, the fitness center was well equipped, and the place was clean. Great stay overall.

Overall great place to stay. Very close to stores. We only stayed one night to go to the caverns and see the bat flight. Breakfast was good, for what we needed we’d recommend and stay again.
